Unicorn School

School hours

Children will be ready for collection five minutes after these finishing times. Yellow - UV Classes are accompanied to the front of school by their teacher and collected from there. Once the child has identified the person collecting them, he/she shakes the teacher’s hand, says goodbye and then must stay with their parent.

Arriving

All children must arrive by 8.25am and be in their classrooms by 8.30am for registration. Children arriving before 8.25am should wait with their parents in front of school. Local parking restrictions are in force. Please phone before 9am if your child is unwell or write to Mrs Linehan in advance if your child needs to be absent for other reasons.

Red/Orange Classes should be taken to their classrooms by 8.30am once the main door is opened. Please go through the hall and across the playground to the Coach House.

Yellow and Green Classes go through the front door on their own. Yellow enter their classroom via the playground and Green Class via the science room corridor. Juniors make their own way to their classrooms via the cloakroom.

If it’s raining heavily and you’re waiting with your children on the forecourt, do come in through the cloakroom and wait in the assembly hall until 8.25am (provided it’s not in use). The main door is on a video entry phone system.

Assembly

A whole-school assembly is held every Tuesday at 8.40am for 20 minutes, sometimes with special guests. Junior assembly is each Thursday at 8.40am; infant assembly each Friday at 11.30am. Parents are always welcome, especially if their child is taking part.

Collecting Red and Orange Classes

Red Class are collected from the Coach House at 12.00; Orange Class at 3.20pm (12.00 on Fridays). The school may still be working so please walk through quietly.
