All classes have art lessons: the Juniors in the art studio and the Infants in their classes. Children’s work is mostly developed from their project work and displayed in the classrooms and in communal areas. We run specialist pottery and photography clubs on a half-termly basis.
Lessons for the Juniors are linked to project work and science while the Infants learn how to be creative, make models and solve problems.
Children visit a variety of galleries such as The National Gallery and The National Portrait Gallery, The Tate Modern, Tate Britain and, when in Cornwall on field study, Tate St Ives. They also visit nearby galleries to support project work, such as Orleans House and The Richmond Museum, and take part in local exhibitions and competitions.
Every spring term, we have an exciting Unicorn Arts Week with an assembly matching the theme.
