IAPS SWIMMING CHAMPION

Well done to Jack (V) who swam at the finals of the IAPS Gala on Saturday 15 May.  He came 5th in his heat with a personal best of 16.41 secs for 25 metres.

BRONZE MEDALLIST

Congratulations to Zak (I) who took part in his first ever triathlon in Hatch-End on Sunday - this included a 165m swim and a 2km bike ride, immediately followed by a 1.2km run.  There were nearly 70 competitors in the 9/10 age group.  Zak came a fantastic 3rd overall and was also awarded the Bronze Medal in the boys’ section!

 

  

U9 & U10 ATHLETICS CHAMPIONSHIPS

Unicorn athletes from Indigo and Violet Classes produced fantastic performances in the Barn Elms Athletics Championships.  Zak (I), Sarah (I), Jamie (V), Jack M (V), and Jack K (V) all won events; Jamie broke the tournament record with 1:54 in the 600m while Jack K broke the tournament record in the Boys Ball Throw (41.20 m).  For the first time, every team finished in the top three; the Year 4 Girls came second, the Year 4 Boys came third, the Year 5 Girls came third and the Year 5 Boys finished first and brought home another trophy for the Unicorn cabinet.  In the overall championship (all age groups combined) Unicorn finished second.  All 17 Unicorn athletes contributed with important points in their individual events and can be really proud of their achievements! 

 

U8, U9, U10 & U11 GIRLS ATHLETICS TOURNAMENT AT BANK OF ENGLAND

Unicorn School Junior girls had a sensational win, on Tuesday 29 June, at the Small Schools Athletics meet held at the Bank of England!

We came first in all four relays, the ball throws and Ultra Violet also won the long jump. Well done to all who took part!

 

 

This term

  • The U11 boys are looking forward to a 5-a-side football tournament at Hampton School and the U10s are in training for a 5-a-side football tournament at Kingston Grammar School
  • Netball Club for Blue and Indigo girls with Mrs Elliott begins
  • Netball Squad for Violet and Ultra Violet girls with Mrs Little begins
  • Football coaching for all junior boys begins
  • Football matches are planned against Harrodian, The Hall, Fulham Prep, and Broomfield House
  • The girls are looking forward to their Netball matches against Ursuline School, Harrodian, The Hall, The Old Vicarage, Holy Cross, Hurlingham, Ibstock and Wimbledon High School
  • Preparations for the annual Cross Country at Richard Evans Memorial Grounds for Juniors children is underway
  • Both the boys and their fathers await in eager anticipation for the Boys’ and fathers’ football match at Kew Green
