Unicorn School

Unicorn School stormed to success in the triathlon at Pools on the Park, September 26.

The gruelling course consisted of multiple lengths of the outdoor pool, followed by a 2km circuit of the park on the bike and finishing with a 2km run for the Under 11s and a 1km run for the Under 9s.

Grace (B) came first in the Girls' Under 9s. With Rudi (I) and Issy T also in the top five, Unicorn won the overall trophy.

The Under 9 Boys event was won by Guy (I). He was followed home by Inigo (I) and George (I) which meant that Unicorn also won this category.

Ella Hastings (V) won the Under 11 Girls race; Georgia (UV) and Sarah (UV) also finished in the top ten.

Finally the Under 11 Boys event was dominated by Unicorn with five of the top seven finishers. Zak (V) won the race and was followed home by Jamie (UV), Jack K (UV), Max (UV) and Louis (UV).

All the Unicorn competitors can be proud of a fantastic morning - everybody showed great determination and stamina in finishing a really demanding course. Maddie, Kate D, Anya (all B), Rowan (I), Ottilie, Ella A, Jivan (all V) and Anna T (UV) all produced excellent performances too.

Well done to everyone who took part in making this such a Unicorn success.
