All classes have music lessons; children in Years 2 and 3 learn the recorder and children in Years 1 – 6 all sing in a choir. The majority of children have individual lessons, with about ten or so different instruments being taught including piano, strings, brass, woodwind, drums and singing. Children may also take part in orchestra, rock band, string group, tutti fluti and our chamber choir, Unicorn Singers.
Jitterbugs is a weekly pre-school music and movement class run by Miss Gresson which is open to children aged 1-3. It is offered first to any children who are registered at Unicorn and then opened up to other local children. The 30 minute classes run on Friday mornings in the school hall with activities including singing, dancing, puppets, parachute games and bubbles.
