Admissions

From September 2023 our nursery will run full days Monday – Thursday and a half day on Fridays.

Our main point of entry is in the nursery year for boys and girls aged 3, with a guarantee of a reception place the following year.

Parents are advised to register your child as soon as possible and visit the school. We give priority to siblings and the children of past Unicorns. Other places are offered to children on the waiting list at the discretion of the Headteacher.

Classes are small, with usually no more than 22 children. We currently have approximately 175 children in eight classes with a one-form entry. From time to time, places throughout the school do become available – please contact the School Registrar on 020 8948 3926 for details.

Details of our bursary scheme, and how to apply, are available here.

Nothing is sacrificed on altar of 11+. Music, drama, sport, art all continue at full throttle. School openly shields children from exam stress and strongly discourages parents from even talking about 11+ until year 5.

 Equity, diversity and inclusion statement

Unicorn School seeks to be diverse, open minded and foster a culture of compassionate and conscious inclusion. We stand against everything to do with discrimination, exclusion, harassment, bullying and hatred in whatever form it takes. Fundamental British values, including democracy, the rule of law, individual liberty, mutual respect and tolerance, are promoted within our school. In order to achieve our aims, we are committed to striving constantly to address the barriers and challenges to inclusion that may arise over time in schools and wider society.

Produces considerate and thoughtful children, we sensed. We were struck by natural, inherent good manners
