About Unicorn

Unicorn is a co-educational, independent and non-denominational prep school which is situated opposite Kew Botanical Gardens. We provide a friendly, creative and stimulating learning environment for boys and girls between the ages of three and eleven. Class sizes are small, with a one-form entry of usually no more than 22 in each year. We were founded by a group of parents and teachers in 1970 and currently have a number of second-generation Unicorns as pupils.

Read a warm welcome from Mrs Fraley, our Headteacher and learn about our distinctive ethos and curriculum. You will also get essential general information and key diary dates. Discover who’s who, with details of staff, Governors and the School Committee.

Still, words like unicorn and rainbow can be misleading – this is not a fluffy, cuddly academic vacuum, but a serious place of learning and development. Children are thoroughly tracked and assessed from the outset, though entirely unbeknownst to them.
