Throughout their time at Unicorn, pupils are carefully supported and monitored, with clear and consistent communication established with parents from Year 4 onwards. At the same time, we adopt a considered approach, deliberately shielding pupils from the pressures commonly associated with the 11+ until January of Year 5. This ensures that children are able to develop academically in a balanced, measured, and developmentally appropriate manner.
As the 11+ assessments approach, we consciously avoid narrowing the breadth of our curriculum. Instead, we maintain a rich, creative, and intellectually stimulating programme of study, designed to foster curiosity, independence of thought, and personal growth. Unicorn pupils are well prepared and progress to a wide range of leading day and boarding schools, equipped with the academic foundation and adaptability required to thrive in their next school settings.
