Castle Head Field Study
Ultra Violet Class spend a week in the Lake District at Castle Head Field Centre, near Grange-over-Sands. Here they take part in a variety of adventurous activities such as orienteering, raft building, obstacle courses and climbing – real bonding experiences where the children learn to work together as a team. They also take part in specific problem solving sessions using various courses and equipment.
It’s an action-packed week as we make several fantastic off-site visits too. We visit Hill Top Farm and learn about Beatrix Potter; we look around the Aquarium of the Lakes with an expert guide; and we take walks around Tarn Hows, inside Grizedale Forest and up a nearby fell.
The children always remember Cumbria as one of the highlights of their time at the Unicorn.
